Be Takerng Art Estate is the newly established official body dedicated to preserving, managing, and promoting the artistic legacy of the late Thai contemporary artist Be Takerng Pattanopas Curtin (1965–2025). Based in Bangkok, the Estate serves as the primary archive and custodian of Takerng’s extensive body of work, which is renowned for its profound exploration of “space within and space without”—examining the microscopic intricacies of the human body, the infinity of the cosmos, and the philosophical dimensions of voids and monoliths. The Estate ensures that his intricate sculptures, installations, and “interior body” examinations continue to be accessible to the public, scholars, and institutions worldwide.
The Estate is guided by a dedicated team of close collaborators and professionals who deeply understand Takerng’s vision. It is led by Brian Curtin, the artist’s partner and a prominent art critic and curator, who oversees the curatorial and strategic direction. Supporting this mission are Henry Tan, Yingyod Yenarkarn, and Oat Rujeraprapa, Wasa Pattanopas, Wasamon Pattanopas who bring their combined expertise in creative production, archiving, and operations to the Estate. Together, this team is committed to sustaining the dialogue around Takerng’s practice, organizing future exhibitions, and maintaining the studio as a vibrant site for contemporary art discourse.
